DEATHMATCH Page One

"Stick that handshake in yer ear, you puke!" roared the raging giant, brutally whacking my hand aside. Already too close for comfort as he loomed over me, he jutted his murderous face to within an inch of mine and sent a shiver down my spine when he growled, "Yer not in the Olympics now!" From the feeling my hand took on, the place I would be sticking it might be into a plaster cast. At the moment, that was the least of my worries. Offering me this snub was a professional wrestler named Tarzan, owner of three hundred muscular pounds packed onto a six and a half foot frame. In addition to being humongous, he was also very convincing with his imitation of an out and out maniac, and I decided his insult was one I was going to ignore. Massive of shoulder, chest and thigh, he foamed at the mouth as he glared at me with bloodshed in his eye. Not about to take my eyes off him, I studied the nasty scars strewn over the head and upper body of the brute. These marks of past violence looked directly connected to the boiling temper he made no effort to hide.

DEATH MATCH: Chapter One

Good Afternoon. I have shared excerpts from my novel 'Death Match', starting with chapter one. A main protagonist was introduced preceding that chapter. It seems logical for a reader to know what our lead character is being trained to do and the challenge he will accept by facing a massive assassin intent on mauling, maiming, and murder.

Dopplegangers!

Doppelgangers! It reads like a nasty venereal disease of some sort, right, or is it just me? A DGis the exact double of another person who is not related to them. Today, I was in a Staples storebuying manila envelopes to mail books. While waiting for a random clerk to walk by, I glancedat a man standing sideways to me in front of a nearby showcase, and it was Pat Patterson, theultra-veteran, Hall of Famer, pro wrestler! Wow, right?

The last post was the introduction to 'Death Match.' I didn't begin posting from my novel with it for a very simple reason. Reading what you read below about Japanese criminals would indicate that the novel is classified in the crime or mystery genre. Not at all. We return to criminal activities at times during the novel, but 95% of it is about pro wrestling, specifically what it is like for a newcomer placed among veterans who test his resolve from beginning to end.

Exercise Tips

Good Morning. I provided some dietary tips a while back; now, I'll offer some exercise advice. Due to injury and illness, I haven't been able to work out for almost three years. I started exercising again a week ago. Needed equipment? A sink. I use my kitchen sink, but the bathroom sink will work as well. Stand in front of it, grab hold of it, and do quarter/half squats. Then place your hands on top of it and do quarter/half pushups. I started with 20 reps of each a week ago, adding 5 each time I came into the kitchen. Yesterday I did 100 of each. Today, I will do two sets of 105 for each. No gym, no equipment, no travel! It works; I feel much stronger, and the added leg strength has helped me regain my balance. Just do squats and pushups. If you tense your abdominal and back muscles while doing pushups, it's like doing isometrics for those muscles. Easy workout, quick, with the fridge right there to reward yourself when you're done. Good luck with it. Warmest regards, stay safe and well, best from Bob

Good Morning. No Podcast this week, but I'm finalizing the touches on my website. Events are combining to sustain my writing style. Not in grace or elegance, but in length. This forum is not friendly to long posts. Thus, a joke, and we'll see what else.

Text Terror! At present, texting is in the 38-50 percentile as a means of communication and is available to anyone with a mobile phone and access to a signal. We can group text, and this is where one wants to be careful. One-on-one texts are very clear about who is texting whom. Adding even one person to create a three-party text group can seriously complicate matters if you mix and don't match. Rather than explain how, please allow me to demonstrate.
